CCBC Fall 2014 RN program

Hello I just took my TEAS and scored a proficient at 75& and my GPA is 3.67. I really hope I get in. I figured I would start a thread :)

What program are you applying to? Good luck!

Hi Jen,

Congratulations on passing the TEAS! I am scheduled to take it on March 1st and I am also planning to apply to CCBC evening program for Fall 2014. I am extremeley nervous because I haven't been to school in a while and I am also very weak when it comes to Math and will need to review my science material. If you don't mind, do you have any tips for taking the TEAS to help me score better? Or any suggested study material? What did you find helped you the best in terms of preparing? Please let me know.

Thanks,

I ordered the McGraw hill 5 teas test book off Amazon for like 17$ and it really helped me. The math section is spot on for the real test and so is the reading. If you have the ATI book that helped too. Just go over that whole book because a lot of it is on the test. It was hard only because I haven't done some of this stuff for 10+years. But if you go over the books you will be fine. Good luck

I'm really nervous too

Small world; I'm at Essex campus for this fall. took the TEAS two days ago. Good luck! I'm so ready to be working and not waiting.

Hi all! I applied for the Day program, Catonsville campus. Everything is submitted, and now we wait the excruciating 6-8 weeks to find out! Best of luck to everyone who applied! I applied for Spring but didn't get in because I was enrolled in Psych over the winter semester. (bummer!) Hopefully I will have better luck this go around - all of my pre-reqs and core classes completed, and then some! :)

I applied to Essex (evening). I scored 87.3% on the TEAS and have a 3.3 ish gpa.

This thread should move to the Maryland nursing forums, and until it does, you all might wanna check it out. There are lots of posts about ccbc over there. US>Maryland, from the nav bar at the top.

Glad I found this thread! I'm anxiously awaiting to hear whether or not I've been accepted. I just checked SIMON and it says "under review" and "LATE APRIL NOTIFICATION". Not sure if this is a good sign or not, lol! I have a 3.4 GPA and scored an 89% on my TEAS which is advanced (98th percentile, woot!). I'm not sure how much more of this waiting I can take :barf02: I already have a Bachelor's degree, so I'm hoping that, coupled with my high TEAS score will make up for my slightly below par GPA. I guess only time will tell!
