CCAC Spring 2013 hopefuls!

Just wanted to start a thread for those who applied to CCAC for this upcoming Spring semester. What were your stats when you applied? What campus did you select? What are your nursing goals? I applied with a 3.8 GPA with Micro completed (as well as Eng Comp 1 & Psych 101). In currently taking a&P 1, Eng Comp 2 & MAT 108. I applied to Allegheny Day & I hope to become either a L&D nurse, nurse at Children's hospital or NICU nurse :)

How is everyone's first week going so far?

So far so good over here, except we didn't get to go to clinicals because of the flu epidemic :( And our 110 and ATI packages are not at the bookstore yet!

Allegheny night students ... we finally have access to our classes on Blackboard!

I ordered mine through the online bookstore & they're back ordered....ugh we're going to get so behind!

How is everyone handling the reading load?

Anyone at Allegheny campus evening classes? Im and LPN and I just got in and the new program starts Fall 2013 and we start in NUR130&140. So I should be in classes with you guys. I was wondering what Med Surg book they are using? or if you know of any of the other books?

I am currently in the night program at allegheny campus, Im not sure what books we will be using as they sold a bundle package at the beginning of the spring semester. Most people decided to buy the books seperately from other places because it was cheaper and the book store didnt get all the books until almost the second month of classes.

The night program has been very disorganized so far, to say the least.. I'm hoping it gets better in the fall. Have you registered for fall yet? If not classes are tuesday and thursday nights and you have a choice of having clinical friday, saturday or sunday from 7am to 3pm.

I didnt register yet. The LPN's dont get there stuff till this week. Im not surr what is going on about clinicals. On my letter it said we will have clinical for 5 weeks in the last semester.

Can you please tell me what pharmacology book was in the bundle you got last semester. The book store has know idea and said I can buy the bundle ans donate the books I don't need. Smh
