CCAC FALL 2018 hopefuls and more

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello!

This is being created for the CCAC nursing students who have applied to the Fall 2018 semester. I saw one that was created for the Spring 2018 and thought it would be great to connect and share information for those of us that are hoping for this coming Fall.

So, when do you think we will hear back if we got in or not?

What were your TEAS scores?

How many of you have taken the prereqs and supporting classes?

What campus did you choose and why?

Is this your first career or are you looking for a second career?

I'll put my answers in the comments below. I look forward to connecting with you all and am excited to hear about your adventures!

She said I should have my letter by today but informed delivery says no mail today. I better have it Monday then! I'm so impatient lol

Nevermind. Figured out what informed delivery was. It's a postal service thing.

So, I am accepted!!! Woo hoo! Big sigh of relief.

Congrats! Which program time, campus?

Fast track at Boyce.

I know that this is kind of unrelated but I'm planning on doing a RN-BSN program after I'm done with CCAC Nursing and I want to take MAT 161 Elementary Statistics that is required for all the BSN programs I have looked at. I want to take it this summer but there only offered online and I'm okay with math just taking online doesn't seem the best way to me and I can only attend Allegheny Campus but it's not offered on campus in the summer or in the Fall there only online. Also, if I can't take math I would do Nutrition instead but I have not looked at the sections offered for Summer or Fall. What is my best option or any suggestions?

Anyone who is looking for shoes already....I know...I know....Don't just count on the online stores. I have found that the scrub stores have some different styles and clearances than what you find online. I got a pair of Nike Air Max's and took them back because they were just too uncomfortable around the ankle...so I started scouting other ways besides internet. I'm not normally a shoe obsessed person but I'm really excited about nursing school and for some reason I want "cool" shoes.....white cool and comfortable is hard to come by.

Do what I did! Find a college that offers what you want and then take it and transfer the credit. I took courses at CCAC and CCBC simultaneously and it worked out just fine.

Also.....look at the Carlow/CCAC joint acceptance. You automatically are accepted into Carlow from being a CCAC student.

Omg! I'm so happy to see this! I was getting anxious with you!

Thank you. I felt like oh my god, why am I not getting accepted???? It was so stressful. Add to that being a full time working mom, who is pregnant, and geesh!!! *lol*

I'm a huge fan of Danskos. Yes, they are pricey, but to me, totally worth it. But, they definitely aren't for everybody!

Working mama! What a feat for you being pregnant too! I feel you! Im not pregnant but I do have kiddos and work full time. You're my new hero! I'm not sure I would be able to do what you do!

Ahh, it will be more my husband dealing with it the most. He and I know it won't be easy, but it will be worth it. I have a really good job now, making great money. BBBBUUUUTTTT, the schedule is horrible for family life. So, ultimately it will be better, even if it's a pay cut.
