CCAC FALL 2018 hopefuls and more

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello!

This is being created for the CCAC nursing students who have applied to the Fall 2018 semester. I saw one that was created for the Spring 2018 and thought it would be great to connect and share information for those of us that are hoping for this coming Fall.

So, when do you think we will hear back if we got in or not?

What were your TEAS scores?

How many of you have taken the prereqs and supporting classes?

What campus did you choose and why?

Is this your first career or are you looking for a second career?

I'll put my answers in the comments below. I look forward to connecting with you all and am excited to hear about your adventures!

I have decided to email the Dean of Nursing to find out if there is any information she can give me. Will enlighten everyone if I get a response.

Hope you get some information!

I applied in march and turned my teas score in on april 9th I received my acceptance letter yesterday you should get it soon.. Amber said they send out rejection letters

Mail has come for the day. Still no letter. There is absolutely no reason that I shouldn't get accepted in to this program. I'm really frustrated. Ugh.

No letter for me today, either. It's so frustrating. If I didn't get in, i just want to know why so that hopefully it's something I can change and then reapply come fall for the spring semester.

I agree. I have another school I can go to. I was just set on going here because I would have less courses to take as my credits will all transfer.

Be persistent but try your best to be patient.. I know how difficult it can be. They have to notify you either way. If you guys hear anything lmk! I'm supposed to be receiving mine this week so we'll see... also it helped talking to other people that were accepted.. asking them what classes they have completed, gpa, what was their first choice program, etc. It is not a guarantee but may ease your nerves a little bit and get an idea of where you 'might' be placed.

I have completed all courses other than NUR ones. Micro, A&P 1&2 have all been completed with A's. I did have a B in a statistics class, Chem, and Gen Bio 2, but any other course completed through CCAC has been an A. I also have a Bachelors Degree. My TEAS test wasn't outstanding, but it was at the very least 30 above the median test score. So, I had felt there truly was no way I wouldn't get accepted, but it seems to be a plausible reality at this point.

When did you turn in your application? Are you sure they had everything they needed? It definitely seems like you should get in. With your grades and the classes completed.

I turned it in February 28 as well as had my TEAS score sent that day.

Amber emailed me. She said she sent my letter out today and I should have it by Saturday. So hopefully everyone else will have something soon!

I forgot to add, she said she had sent out a stack so it wasn't just mine she sent!
