i have a question for someone: after a catheter is removed from a male patient, is there a specific length of time before the patient can have sex?

Logically wouldn't the answer depend on exactly the catheter was inserted in the first place . . ?

I would suggest that the pt. ask his doctor...
well the patient was in because he tried to pass a kidney stone and it got stuck and he had to have a catheter put in so he could urinate. he had the catheter in for four days and the patient asked me when he could resume having sex.

We can not give medical advice on here.. The person needs to call his primary provider and ask them.

That would be up to the doctor.

He should call his doc. But most men don't want to wait very long, anyway!
