Hello,
Wondering if anyone else has received a letter from Case stating that they will be contacting them in the future to schedule an interview with their anesthesia dept for the class starting 2012? The letter arrived at my home on Sept. 13th and I'm still waiting for the phone call to set up an interview date.
Just as a heads up I hear they are asking simple math questions this year, which they have not done in the past (that I'm aware of). Otherwise it sounds like the typical Case interview (why you want to be a CRNA, what you do to relieve stress, example of a time you've made a mistake, etc...not very clinical at all). I know my class was a little weak in math and I think they were a little alarmed at how much they had to review, haha. The question I heard that they asked was what is 10% of 50...a simple question, but even simple questions are tough when you're super nervous and caught off guard!
Good luck!
Nope 2 more weeks. My friend was suppposed to have hers Nov. 7th and cancelled. So I've got nothing for ya...... Sorry![/quote']Looks like we are interviewing around the same time. Are you from the Cleveland area? I am little worried flying in from the south a couple of hours before interview and also the weather.

Thanks for the info. I better brush up on a little math, actually its a good thing to review these sort of things. We become so dependent on pumps and computers we forget the basics.

Yes, I'm from Cleveland. Live in the "snowbelt" about 40 minutes from the school. Crossing my fingers for good driving weather but Cleveland can get a bit crazy! I will be sure to leave my house a few hours early. Let me know if you need directions or parking help.

Thanks for the scoop! Yes, sometimes it is scary that we rely so much on calculators and machines to do our jobs for us. I can see why they would be alarmed that the class was a bit weak in this category (it's pretty important). Thanks again!:)

I will not need parking help since I am flying in and will be taking the taxi or Red Line train to the University (I think that's what its called).
Interviewed for case...they said 2-3 weeks. They do ask math questions so be prepared. Now the nerves of waiting are killing me!
Thanks! How do you feel the interview went overall? I heard they ask more personal questions so I'm hoping I don't have to go open up a calculus book to prepare for this interview now....lol! I'm sure your nerves are killing you! Good luck!

Interviews only last 15-30 mins. So I'd say probably between 5-10/day. Believe me they are not tired when you get there.
