Case Western CRNA interviews for 2011

Hello,

Wondering if anyone else has received a letter from Case stating that they will be contacting them in the future to schedule an interview with their anesthesia dept for the class starting 2012? The letter arrived at my home on Sept. 13th and I'm still waiting for the phone call to set up an interview date.

I received my call Friday to interview at the end of November. I would imagine interviewing dozens of candidates would take some time....

BSN- 3.56 GPA

Sciences not great before taking Organic Chemistry with a 3.0, but I was young with no intentions of going to graduate school

ACLS, PALS, sitting for CCRN this week

GRE not great- 950, will retake next month

Shadowed a CRNA 40 hours

References from CRNA's and boss

ICU 1.6 years/ High acuity PACU- 3 years

Charge Nurse- 1 year

Previous Surgical Tech

Originally paid app fees to 3 schools, but decided to focus on just 2 due to location of other- hate I paid the app fee of $100, but oh well.

Interviewed at one school already and it went great, so hoping for more of the same this time around.

2 1/2 years experience in an adult CVICU

PALS, ACLS, CCRN

BSN 3.4 gpa

Previous surgical tech, shadowed multiple times

GRE 975

Applying to more than one school...

I realize I'm not the most competitive candidate but hope its good enough to get in, so I can work my butt off for the next 2 years!!

There are usually 3 sets of interviews. And people have been called as late as June/July as alternates. Search through the old threads. This is where I found my info & it is still correct.

Hey trav2CRNA-

Do you know how many people they interview in 1 day? My interview is all set and ready to go. Just wondering if the people conducting the interview are going to be tired by the time I come in the room.
