Carson-Newman CRNA 2018 applicants

Just want to make a spot for applicants to Newman's CRNA program in 2018. So we can keep each other updated on progress through the application process. I have my app submitted and the wait until September is almost as bad as waiting for NCLEX results. If anyone has any advise or updates to add please do!

Hi! I applied this year and have not heard back yet. Neither a call or a letter. Have you heard from Newman?

Just graduated from Newman. Can't speak high enough regarding the program. Loved it. Newman proud. Amazing school. Amazing instructors. Your classmates will be like your family. Good luck.

rawz2014 How did you prepare for boards? or did Newman assist you with that throughout the program?

We use apex for our board prep. apex is pretty legit. Newman helps you alot- but you have to put the time in. no way around it. You'll use apex all the way through school, and they prepare you. but its a 24 month program- so you really have to work hard.

Do you have any idea when they are changing their program to a doctorate?

What happens if Apex goes out of business? Should the program you are paying tuition too rely on a third party to prepare you for boards?

??who cares if they go out of business. Apex just supplements what we do. We would probaly just pick a different board prep. Apex is just something we use to supplement everything else. Could have just as easily been prodigy, valley or something else. Or nothing. Could have just been a text book. Lol.

Not sure not next year but maybe year after that? It will be soon- there prepping for it. Then it won't be a 24mth program but a 30or 36 month program
