Carson-Newman CRNA 2018 applicants

Nursing Students SRNA

Updated:   Published

Just want to make a spot for applicants to Newman's CRNA program in 2018. So we can keep each other updated on progress through the application process. I have my app submitted and the wait until September is almost as bad as waiting for NCLEX results. If anyone has any advise or updates to add please do!

Not yet...still waiting.

When I called last week Nikki said they had a much larger number of applications than usual. They think it's because this is the last year it will be a 2 year Masters program and next year it will be a 3 year doctorate program. She said the admissions committee was hoping to get Interview invites out by end of this coming week.

Same...I was told we were supposed to get an email for an interview around October 2nd.

Specializes in Crna.

Good luck. Newman is tough to get into and the interview is intense. But if you get in- you will be a Crna. My class started with 23 and graduated 23 and almost every class is the same

Got offered an interview via email.

How'd everyone's interview go? Does anyone know when they expect to let us know who's accepted?

What are their interviews like? I will be looking at Newman down the road when I'm ready to apply.

Anyone who is going to Newman program or have graduated from it, did you get good experience? We're you confident when finished? I have heard some schools will teach and train you on all types of blocks, and Putting In CVL lines etc just curious how that program was, and how the instructors were. Thanks

Lots of clinical questions. Know your medications real well.

Thank you, Did you get hear back from your interview?

No, I haven't. Also, hook 'em horns.

The acceptance letters got sent via email today! Who all got accepted? I got the OKC clinical site.
