Carrington College Reno

I just took the entrance exam for the RN program at Carrington College Reno. Has anyone been accepted in the program and do you remember what your scores were? I did above average but I'm worried that they weren't good enough. Since I will be moving to Reno from California to attend the school, I'm getting anxious and I'm wondering if I should try to take the exam again before the cutoff for the January class.

Do you have any classes transferring in?

I have a few transfer classes, there's a big difference in the CA prereq's vs. NV. I have math, English, & chemistry but only the math will transfer because chem isn't required and English has been too long.

I have a phone appt with financial aid tomorrow at 1 so I can get that started.

And we're arranging everything for a move over the hill! My son and I will be staying with my Aunt until we get a house...then the hubby and the animals. Rentals are more expensive that I was expecting in Reno.

I have an appt. This coming Monday, I hope the pre-reqs I have will all transfer. I was thinking chemistry is now a pre-req because that is what the updated course catalog for Carrington...that is the only class I would have to take if it is required.

I also want to figure out my job situation:/ right now I work full time and depending on the schedule for school I will have to look for another job. I wish orientation was sooner. So I could figure that out asap.

I believe that classes are Mon-Thurs in the beginning. 8 hours a day so having a evening/weekend job should be fine.

Yeah I would definitely have to get a different job if that will be the schedule. Right now I work at a bank and the hours are not too easy to work with when it comes to school. Hopefully my meeting on Monday will give me a better idea about how everything involving the program works.

I'll ask her tomorrow, and get back to you. I just put my notice in at work, right before the holidays! But I'll be going back and forth to reno a lot to get everything arranged.

Just got off the phone with financial aid. I asked about the schedule and it's Mon-Fri 8-430 for the most part. Some days will start at 9am. But plan to be in school all day 5 days a week.

Okay, Thanks for letting me know. Since the schedule for school will be every day during the week just about, I'll plan on being able to work part time.

Still #2 on the wait list! Going crazy! Do we start the moving process now, or wait??? Lol! She said a couple people are shaky so hopefully they drop ASAP! I would like to get moved the weekend after Christmas so we have a week to settle in! Just venting... Lol!
