Hi all

I was wondering if anyone carpools (now or in the past) to work, if so what is/was your experience like?

Also does anyone know of how to find carpools...

TIA

:)

Hi what happens if one gets mandated? If they are the driver or a rider?

Many larger hospitals in my area have a process to match car/van poolers as well as discount programs that subsidize public transport (bus, train) for their employees. Ask your HR department about it. If the organization does not already have a program, they (HR) would be the department that would implement and manage it.

If you're in a good sized city, check with your city transportation department to see if they have programs. You may be surprised. Many cities are doing this because there are Federal grants/funding to support efforts that cut down on traffic congestion & pollution.

I carpooled before I became a nurse. Since my attitude regarding timeliness and punctuality is blase (read: I don't give a rat's behind), it would be unfair of me to cause the other person in my carpool to be late.

I'd rather deal with the consequences of my character flaws without pulling a carpool partner into a mess (s)he didn't create.
