I was wondering if anyone on here is anxiously awaiting their Carolinas College Nursing program admissions letter for January 2015 Spring matriculation? I believe they begin sending out letters next Wednesday (06/25/14) and I am so excited!
Does anyone know if the school calls students who are admitted on Wednesday? Or if we must wait for snail mail letters :)
I was also wondering if you are not accepted, how much information Carolinas College will divulge about why?
t397357 I am sorry to hear that you were not admitted for Spring Semester. Nursing schools are so competitive and I feel like I'll need to apply to several schools and maybe take more classes to stand out. I was waitlisted but I'm not sure how many waitlisted people will actually get in. I was wondering what your plan b is? I am looking to apply to other local nursing programs like CPCC and Mercy. How about you?
Thanks I really appreciate it! I had already been accepted into the nursing program at spcc (south piedmont community college) but ran into some financial issues with some community colleges not accepting te federal loan program. I rushed and took the act test and applied to cchs as a backup option. I have already taken all nursing prerequisites and have a 3.75 gpa. I made a 68 on my teas test and a 22 composite on my act. I also went to Umanah healthcare and have nothing but great things to say about it. So since I didn't make the cchs cut I'm moving forward with spcc in august. As for the financial concerns if it weren't for my family helping I wouldn't be able to swing it. I'm just glad I finally have some direction.

Thank you for all the information! As of right now, I am leaning on the NA I program at Carolinas College. The person at admissions said I would just need to complete the course and be registered before the Spring semester starts. I am currently working full time, so I would have to do their Weekends program. Looks like your program is less rigorous, schedule wise though. I am hoping I will be able to survive the 2 month program while still working M-F. I figured it is just another step to preparing me for the Nursing program. The program I believe also includes the TB testing and the CPR class.
Has anyone taken the NAI class at CCHS?
Carolinas College is the only place I applied to, not only because they are affiliated with the hospital, but also the fact that they had the 80/20 program. I already have a Bachelors Degree, so I was not up to racking up more student loans. I also heard if you begin working at the hospital that they may be able to help pay for your BSN later on.
