help. I need advice for my 4th semester student nurse care plan. I have a cystic fibrosis child with major hemoptysis. I t is thought to be caused by a ruptured bronchial artery due to the pressure of coughing. Any ideas on the priority nursing diagnosis? I was thinking ineffective airway clearance or deficient fluid volume. I would really love to impress my teacher.

Hi Patsy,
You should try posting in the student assistance forum. If you're lucky Daytonite will help you; sorry but I can't. She's awesome though.
Good luck!
Thanks, both of you. I went ahead and posted in the student forum.

Remember your ABCs. Nuff said.
Right, sounds like Ineffective airway clearance. Airway is always 1st. Thank you:)
