Care Plan Books

I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I've tried to search but the system is doing something wacky tonight. What care plan books do you have that you like/love? My friend has one that she hates. I don't want to invest in a book that won't serve me well. Any tips?

Thanks!!

I'll be starting my last semester in August for my RN. When I first started nursing school, I bet I spent $200 on different books, cards, whatever for care plans. The BEST source is your Med-Surg book. Most of them have careplans in them, and even if they don't, they sure tell you s/s, actions, and outcomes. I learned the hard way and want to pass it on.

Also, here is a wonderful website that I use.....I do my careplans on my computer, so I copy and paste the info from here (with appropriate modifications) on our forms I've loaded onto my computer.

Med Surg books are good as well as your fundamentals book. I also use Nursing Care Plans, Nursing Diagnosis & Interventions 5th ed. by Gulanick & Myers (Mosby) I really like it. It has every thing you need 1101pgs full of careplans. ISBN # 0323016278. Hope this helps :) .

We are lucky, we only have to pick 1 patient per semester and write up this paper on them (including the care plan). Its a big paper, but only 1 patient and you have the entire semester to do it. I love this website and it's saved me so much $$$ on a care plan book.
