I will be interviewing for a part time position in a cardiology office very soon. The position is part time. I have never worked in cardiology before, but have 34 yrs. experience in various fields of nursing (including open heart surgery). I hold certifications in operating room and legal nursing (defense).

Does anyone have any ideas how to present myself during this interview? I have already completed a 50 question personality test. This is the 4th largest cardiology practice in the U.S. The position will be office based only. Any tips greatly appreciated! (the position has been posted for quite some time -probably because of all the hoops one has to jump through!)

Thanks!

What will be the duties of one accepted to this position???

"Office nursing" is a vague term to me!

Would you be helping with research/data management?

Outpt care?

Diagnostic testing (treadmills, etc)?

Anticoagulation clinic?

If the duties are unknown to you, I'd just say rest on your laurels, present yourself professionally and exhibit a willingness to learn.

Ask questions about the practice/duties, etc, too.

Sorry I can't offer more, but I do wish you the best, and if this is what you want, I hope you get the position! :)
