Capscare LPN to ADN bridge

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone...I'm currently enrolled on the lpn bridge program at Capscare Academy. Has anyone else completed the program or close to completion or may be interested in forming a study group? I'm having difficulty navigating the course work. Any help and opinions on this would be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance!

Nursing education has become increasingly academic.  There is a great need for overall nursing programs rooted back in the hospital or career centers.

I am very sorry to hear of the trouble you are having with licensure. I do have to ask why a hospital or career center program can not be 'academic' as well. For over 100 years professional nursing has been trying to get recognized as an academic profession...that is: an education that is delivered in a setting with other academic programs; rooted in the sciences and humanities that make up the professional skills, theories and evidenced based practice that encompasses the delivery of nursing care. Who would want to return to the hospitals controlling the delivery of  nursing education to guarantee they 'trained you right?', that is you were trained to provide a steady feed of nurses that didn't question the parent hospitals way of doing things!
