Can't Decide?

I'm a sophomore in college and this fall I will be taking 7 classes which includes A&P1, Med Terminology, and nutrition, while the rest are gen eds. I'm debating on whether I should volunteer 4-8 hours a week at the hospital for both the fall and spring semester (a year ). But the only problem I am worried about is that I also still want to work part-time and give a huge focus to my grades as it's a first priority in applying to the nursing program this fall, and I don't want to overwhelm myself by doing too much.

Though would volunteering help me find a job much easier when I become a nurse? I was looking through hospital's job application (in Chicago) and it looks major competitive for new grads and that scares me. What should I do? I need help in deciding.

I worked a full time and a part time job while going to school full time, and I did just fine. A part time job and a volunteer position should definitely be doable.

Only you know your limits and what kind of student you are.
