Canadian nurse needs tips on passing the NCLEX (I failed it 2X's)

try suzannes plan. it worked for me. failed in july w/ 75. passed 1 week ago w/ 78 questions w/ suzannes plan. took me about 2 1/2-3 mths.

look at the top of the forum. it says new revised tip of suzannes plan. suzanne is a moderator on this site. she helps a lot of people pass nclex for free. you only need 1 book (saunders 3rd edition-it must have the cd in the back). you have to follow the plan exactly as it is written. i used it and passed and so has many others. hope this helps.

FOCUS ON ABCs AND SAFETY. WHEN YOU NARROW IT DOWN TO TWO CORRECT ANSWERS.. ASK YOURSELF IF EITHER RELATES TO AIRWAY, BREATHING, CIRCULATION OR SAFETY. THOSE ARE VERY HIGH PRIORITY TO THE NCLEX TEST MAKERS.

I didn't use suzanne's plan, but I did Hurst Review. I felt that Hurst Review was really helpful. I passed the test with 75 questions and felt pretty confident after the computer shuts off. Of course, I prayed a lot too. You don't have to know everything, but you have to know the core content like the back of your hand and also know the why's behind everything.

hi all!
i'm very frustrating as i've written the nclex 2x's now :angryfire. i got to question 175 the first time and question 265 the 2nd time.
i used kaplan (found the cd crazy b/c you had to do the whole test before you could read the answers), nclex for dummies wasn't bad, used davis's as well - found that helpful. bought an pharmacology book as well. looked through nclex made incredible easy but found it not so useful.
i found the exam hard b/c there was always 2 write answers and 2 totally wrong. i had a hard time figuring out which was the "right" one.
if anyone has any advice i would appreciate it b/c i'm very discouraged right now. i will re-write it in march/april.

would check the sticky at top of thread new revised first tip of suzanne's plan. i am used it taking it a 3x and passed in oct. keep your head and have faith , believe and you will succeed. we never know why god puts us in theses situations but, know he knows what should happen in our future that we will never know because we did everything would be easy. stay determined and god will follow thorough don't give up.

just found out this morning i passed using suzanne plan only. good luck to all and don't give up on god he came through for me as well as he can you. :balloons::monkeydance:

Thank you for your words of encouragement. This site is so awesome for stuff like that. So I've heard lots that used Suzanne's plan and I think I will get on board with that too and do it! Sounds like tonnes of people have found it useful and passed so I'm going to give it a try!

I too believe that God does certain things in our lives that we will never know. I'm hoping he'll pass me when I re-write this exam again! Again thanks and congrats on your success!!!!:)
