American LPN's can come into Canada and work so Canadian LPN's must be able to work there on a visa. There has to be one that we qualify under[/quote']Marriage/fiancée visa? Most LPN programs are under a year and many times not deemed equivalent to Canadian education requirements upon assessment. I used to work for a Canadian based company. We were not able to get licensing & temp work visas for LPNs to go to the Canadian sites to assist with high workloads or train staff on protocols. They were able to go as skilled trainers but not permitted to use the title of LPN/nurse or work in the capacity as a nurse.

I am an LPN in Canada and my boyfriend (who lives in canada) goes to UAH. I am wanting to make my way down there as he has a few more years left in his degree. Primarily, I love Alabama, and would love to have this experience added to my nursing career. I am wondering which visa I am covered by when applying. Does anyone have any successful stories or information on this??!
The process seems to be scattered....
