Canadian CNA Move to United States

My situation is that I am going to be graduating in Canada as an RCA (Canadian equivalent of a CNA) in a few months and I am looking for a job in Florida. I only have my Canadian citizenship (no US) so I understand that immigration will be my biggest issue. So a few questions for those who might have some experience with this,

Where is the best place to start?

Find a job and get that employer to sponsor me (I've heard this makes things easier with immigration)?

Go right ahead and apply with immigration for a work visa?

Find a recruitment agency to help mediate the process?

Anything to steer me in the right direction would be much appreciated!!

Thanks!

Sponsoring cost the company money. CNA makes around 10 hr. sposnoring them cost more than the benefit. I would look into applying for a work visa. Though it are hard to get as well. To work as a CNA here you must be licensed or certified in Florida or a nursing student. So go to the FL board of nursing web site to see what you need to do to be certified.

Good luck.

CNA for work visa/immigration doesn't meet criteria, sorry to say you would be better doing your RN training then coming on the NAFTA. You need a employer to file for a work visa and currently apart from NAFTA or E3 if you qualify you are looking at several years waiting

As was mentioned above, you will not be able to get a visa to work in the US with the CNA training; we do not have a shortage in this area. Same as an American CNA cannot get a visa to work in Canada.
