Hi everyone! I recently got accepted into an Accelerated BSN program at the University of Rochester (1 year program). I already have my Bachelors of Science from the University of Toronto and I am a Canadian citizen. I am wondering what job opportunities I may have after getting an American BSN degree. Do hospitals in the states usually hire new grads who have just passed the NCLEX and are CANADIAN?Also, will I be eligible to write the CRNE after completing a 1 year BSN degree from the states?
Thank you!
You need to have a valid work permit before you can work in the States.
When you apply to your provincial college of nursing they will examine your educational transcripts to determine if you are eligible to write the CRNE.
