Hello everyone!
Anybody in here who is undergoing the Provincial Nominee Program in any provinces in Canada by their employer?
It would be much appreciated if you will share your experiences and could also share the time-frame of each of the specific steps.
Thank you very much!!
Hi Silverdragon, is this applicable to provincial nominees?
I believe so
to anyone and silverdragon102,
sorry i can't seem to find the thread of Canada Immigration as Skilled Worker, hope you could attach the link or maybe give some enlightening on my case.
i applied 2 years ago for permanent residency through federal skilled worker at the canadian embassy here in manila.
1. last april, they informed that i should inform them if i want it to push through or pull-out my application. usually with this alert, how long can it take for it to process my application? checking my application status online showed it under "PROCESSING".
2. since i was the principal applicant, i paid for the principal applicant initially which was roughly $500. should i pay the fees for my other family members now or should i wait for the embassy to prompt me to pay for the rest of my family (wife, 2 kids)?
3. since my application was under federal skilled worker, would it be wise to let my wife apply for the provincial nominee program under Alberta since we have relatives there? would it affect my application in BC? would we have to pay 2 sets of fees that way if ever?
4. i am a recent registered nurse here in the philippines. my application was under the skilled work of "auditor", does updating my application and changing it to "nurse" have any favorable effect?
these are the questions to mind right now. hope you could help me out, as always.
thanks,
alain
my understanding and reading the website (cic) is you have to pay for everyone from the beginning
the processing fee for you and your dependants who will accompany you to canada must be submitted when you apply. information on how to pay your processing fee is included in the instruction guide.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-how.asp
if applying to another province then i am not sure if you can without it affecting your other application. it may be worth talking to a recognised canadian immigration consultant
may be worth looking at this link with q&a http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/faq/immigrate/skilled/index.asp
this is what it states on processing times for the canadian embassy in manila
skilled workers, entrepreneurs and self-employed
applications can be expected to be reviewed only 48 months (four years) from the date we acknowledge receipt of a complete application. 80 % of the cases are currently being completed within 62 months. for new applications, a letter acknowledging receipt will be sent within four (4) to six (6) months from the date the application is received, including a receipt for the processing fees.
which province? if you are a BC PNP nominee, then this is the email:
