Canada's Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

World Canada

Published

Hello everyone!

Anybody in here who is undergoing the Provincial Nominee Program in any provinces in Canada by their employer?

It would be much appreciated if you will share your experiences and could also share the time-frame of each of the specific steps.

Thank you very much!!:yeah:

hi there! i'm a newly registered to this site... and i read everything that you've blogged regarding PNP. it's really inspiring for me that i immediately tried filing for CRNBC. i'm currently employed here in singapore as a staff nurse and at the same time i'm still registered in PRC. i'm just confused about a question in the form. the question is... 'Where is your current place of registration?' - should i be answering singapore or singapore and philippines?

would really appreciate your help a lot.:)

If you have active registrations in both countries put down both countries. The verification of registration forms will then be sent to both boards of nursing. If you only put Singapore and CRNBC found out somehow that you were also registered with PRC, then they could simply deny your application because you weren't truthful... whether you intended to conceal anything or not.

actually i am still in london. i will leave for canada on the 03 june 09. i am starting work on the 06 july 09. who knows u might arrive before me. if i do arrive b4 u of course i will let u know howit is in kamloops.

hi justyzz,

I agree with Jan and put both down (Philippine and Singapore). I put both my US and UK license down and both had to verify and was easy to do

Thanks a lot!!! really appreciate it!:)

Dear Anna,

I just receive an email from my employer telling me that I need to have a working permit before she can set my employment start date. I was already granted an immigrant visa. I think the working visa is already useless once you have an approved immigrant visa, am I correct?

Just tell employer you have a immigrant visa, yes that is better than work permit :)

Thanks Anna, actually she already knows that I was already granted a PR visa. Maybe she is not that well-versed when it comes to immigration. She is my nurse manager in the hospital, another individual who is handling my immigration papers including my PNP and the last one is the external recruiter. All of them are from the same company (Interior Health from BC).

Would have thought she would be aware that immigrant visa means you can still work. Bet you are getting excited now, everything moving in the right direction :)

Yea, I already explained it to her that being an immigrant, I'm eligible for employment without having a working visa or working permit. One thing that I cannot do is to vote, am i right?

just sharing my thoughts... I think your employer is looking for a "work permit" from the Board of nursing? BTW, are scheduled to sit for the CRNE already? thanks... so happy for the fast progress of your papers. Good luck!

Correct being an immigrant you do not need a work permit and you can not vote. You will need to file tax returns every year and may be worth using a accountant especially the first year
