Hi everyone!

I'm relatively new to AllNurses.com so not too familiar with the site yet. Please forgive me if i've posted this in the wrong category.

I just got accepted into Centennial College (in Ontario) RPN flex program for September 2013.

I was wondering if anyone is currently enrolled here and what your experiences are.

I'm not really sure what my next steps are. I need to apply for loans so I'm going to look into applying for OSAP.

Does anyone have any advice or willing to share their experience?

Thank you :)

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Moved to Canadian Nursing program forum to elicit further response.

Congratulations for getting accepted into the Flex RPN at Centennial. I am currently enrolled at Centennial in the flex rpn program just finished sem 1A and starting sem 1B next week. So far my experience with flex rpn program plus the teachers at centennial is good, the only thing i'll advice you is just stay on top of your readings and complete the learning outcomes for all courses every week and you will do good. Few of my classmates who didn't make it to sem 1B is simply because they were falling behind their readings for every week plus not completing the learning outcomes. If you have any questions for flex rpn sem 1A ask away will be happy to help.

Have you taken GNED 500 Global Citizenship yet? I'll be starting it on May 7th at Progress campus.

I'm taking some classes early to lighten my course load. I've already finished Developmental Psychology online and am currently taking Perspectives on Human Sexuality online as well (I'll be done end of May).

I will also be taking comm 170 in July.

Thanks!

No Not yet i'll take GNED 500 Global Citizenship in the fall sem 2A. Thats good you're taking all of your electives but are they going to apply the credits into the RPN program or you will just get exempted from the electives you're taking?

So far I've only taken A&P, PNUR103 and Developmental Psychology. In sem 1B which starts coming week am taking PNUR104, PNUR105 & Pathophysiology. The Comm 170 I got exempted because I did it in GBC when I was taking Pre-health courses.

I was under the impression that they were going to apply the credits to RPN. When I registered for GNED 500. I asked if I need to fill out any forms or anything to show I've already completed the class and the girl on the phone said they can see it and it'll be applied. However I'll just confirm that on Monday.

I had to fill a form to get exempted from COMM 170 because I took that english at GBC, on my transcript it just shows TCR (transfer credit). They might apply the credits on your RPN program because you're taking those electives at centennial.

Hi Miso, I got accepted to the flex program for Sept 2013 too, I don't have any advice for you yet but I just wanted to say hi and see you in School!

Hi MizzMo and AshuM:

Just found this site recently! Sorry if they're any mistakes.

I am also attending Centennial College in September 2013 for Practical Nursing (flexible). I've been going to the workshops. Message me back if you'd like to talk and if you're attending the workshops, we could meet there?

Shardi and I have been attending the workshops!

Chanty1, did you pick your classes for September? What block are you in?

Hello Ashum! How did you find the Centennial Flex Program?

I recently just got accepted to Sheridans Fast Track Program (5 semesters, no breaks, full courseload) and Centennials Flex. I was wondering which program you'd recommend?
