That is a good question about the LPN test, I was wondering the same thing about our program here at LSUE.
I will tell you that if you make it through the first year, you can usually make it through the rest.
At LSUE the ones that don't make it usually drop out or fail out the first semester, and a few the second semester. It is very rare (I haven't heard of) anyone making it the first year and not the second here. After about a year of pre-reqs, we have two years (4 semesters) of the nursing program.
I don't know why that is. They just throw so much at you that first (and second) semester, I geuss. I will find out this fall.
Good Luck, maybe someone else will know the answer about the LPN test after the first year, but there just doesn't seem to be very many nurses from Louisiana that participate here. Also, I would be curious which semester other students found to be the most difficult in nursing school.
GOOD LUCK! You can do it!

Yes, you can sit to take your LPN boards after your first year at Charity. However, the instructors do not like students to do this because most of them that do this never come back to class to continue their education until RN status. If you are not going to make it at Charity, then you will drop out the first semester. If you can get passed the first semester, then you can graduate.
