Student visa to study what?

From my understanding, a student visa entitles the student to study full-time, at the same time they are allowed to work a very limited amount of hours. The amount of hours they are allowed to work means that they basically need another form of income, which often comes from mum and dad back home, or money they have saved. It's pretty tough being on a student visa!

Working in Australia as a Nurse
Nurses need to be in good health and have a certain level of education and experience. To work in a hospital or other health care area, nurses need to pass a health examination which includes a chest x-ray. To work in Australia, nurses need to be registered or enrolled by the nurse regulatory body in the State or Territory in which they want to work. The Australian Nursery and Midwifery Council (ANMC) website has more information including links to State and Territory nurse regulatory bodies.
