Can someone explain to me about ortolini and bartolini maneuvers? LOL!

Published

This was on one of our lecture power points...Bad thing is, the instructor discussed "ortolini" and "bartolini" the whole lecture!!!!

Try searching the web next time ;)'

Unless there's something else you want to know?

Ortolini:

"It is performed by an examiner first flexing the hips...[/url]"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ortolani_test

Sure it wasn't Barlow Maneuver?

Barlow:

"The maneuver is easily performed by adducting the hip......"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barlow_maneuver

Note the spelling on my powerpoint! Both of them are spelled wrong and the instructor even called them "ortolini" and "bartolini" WHICH ARE INCORRECT!

That is what I was getting at...I was not actually looking for info on it!

Rather than ortolani and barlow...I could understand a simple typo on the powerpoint, but to repeatedly call them by the wrong names in lecture is outrageous!

A picture is worth a thousand words. Maybe the instructor ate too much tortellini for dinner.
