Can you renew your RN license if you cant find a job?

Is it still possible to renew your RN license without work experience? I cant find a job since my license was issued. Is there going to be a problem when I renew it because I know that on the form it sasks for current employer as RN? BTW, im trying to renew my license for the state of ct

I found if after 5 years you have to take the test again

I doubt you have to have a certain number of work hours. But if you need CEU's, get them done. NOW.

There is just no excuse for you to not get the info straight from the Board. Get the names of whoever you speak to.

She did call the Board and Connecticut does NOT require CEU's. Its directly on their website, no CEU's for LPN's or RN's. There are only a handful of licenced professions that require CEU's in Connecticut.

It's not wrong. She called the State Board and was given the info.

Again, on their website it states if you are not working consecutively forperiod of 3 year you need to take a refresher course. If you haven't worked for 5 or more you need to retest.

Ilove i see you are licensed in NY state. In NY you renew after 3years. You should be able to obtain employment by then adn after that it is renewed for another six years. If anyone cannot obtain employment by then (apart from disability) then i do believe the test is in order after a refresher.
