I don't see this very much. Lots of NPs work in er, family, urgent care etc.., but I haven't heard about NP working in dermatology. Does anyone know if that is possible?

Yes, it is very possible. The dermatology practice where I go I see an NP who received her MS and NP graduate education at the U of Washington. She also has another certification that denotes further study in dermatology.

Yes, there are NPs working in derm. There are even a few DNP/NP derm residency programs and a professional society:

A lot of Primary care offices do small dermatology stuff cutting nevi, biopsies, pimple shots, small crio procedures, etc. Plus, skin cancer screening is always here to be done. So, for those who want to take a taste of the trade there are usually at least some opportunities outside of dermatology as specialty. I think that it is a good thing because I hate to see ladies coming from dermatology practice with a long list of everything in every form prescribed for their acnes except for basic tests for PCOS and DM, for just one example:mad:
