Okay, I just took my Q reviews. I have only taken four so far. So I have two more left. But I just felt discouraged after my last score. These are my scores:
59/125
61/125
64/125
60/125, the one I felt discouraged with today ?
I am really not a good test taker in general (I get B's and C's on tests in nursing school). Should I take the day off tomorrow and study everything and review everything with Hurst again? I feel like everything that I am learning in Hurst doesn't apply to any of the questions. I also get A LOT of SAP on the q reviews. So I think that is another reason I am doing horribly.
Please Help ME. I am taking NCLEX on June 20th!!

I don't know if you can pass with those scores or not. The question is if you know the material. I did the Hurst Review, as well. I scored 67, 63, 65, 73, 70, and 71 and passed the NCLEX in 75 questions. I understand what you mean about some of the questions covering material, not in the Hurst book; however, that material is either in the resource documents or should have been covered in nursing school (I admit I didn't utilize all of the resource documents). The Hurst quizzes are more difficult than the NCLEX questions (or so I thought).
I know the material!! Everything that they test on is not over the material (well, the majority of it). I want to get in the 70s for my last 2 q reviews because I heard that getting in the 70s is good.

As the other person said. I'm not sure if you're able to pass with those scores. It's really about knowing all the content or being able to really read the stem of the question and see WHAT they are actually asking. I just took the NCLEX on Tuesday and passed with 75 questions after doing the Hurst online review. My review scores ranged from 70-83. Hurst would like your scores to be from 80-85 to ensure you pass on the first try, but as you can see with mine, they were perfectly fine, and I passed. I agree with some of the questions having nothing to do with the content they covered, but as I reviewed the rationales, I realized I wasn't answering what they were asking for. For example, they asked about "independent nursing decisions," and I chose to give a medication. This is wrong because that decision wouldn't independently be mine to make as a nurse. It would be the doctor's because he wrote the prescription. It's little things like that that I needed to really focus on and make sure I was answering EXACTLY what they were asking for. You'll get it. Just keep practicing and reading the rationales for why you're answering questions incorrectly.

I just realized the first-grade score we are shown immediately after completing each Hurst Q Review is a PERCENTAGE! And no, they do not qualify this number with a "%." Sooooo I was freaking out for nothing! The actual numerical score is only listed on the itemized "Previously Taken Attempts" Q Review list. LOL gave me a scare good enough to get my caboose in high study gear mode, though! Hahaha.
