Only if you have nurse delegation focus on diabetes. Is insulin the only injection you'll be giving?

In Colorado no, all you are allowed to do is remind them and/or hand them the prefilled syringe. Usually HH or hospice comes in to fill the syringes, however the client must be able to give themselves the injection. If they cannot, then home health or hospice comes in to give the injection. If that isn't possible then they are sent to a skilled facility.

Not as a CNA you can't. You can give vaccines as a medical assistant.

You can't give injections as a CNA. As a medical a assistant you can give injections only when a physician is present per the orders.
Added: by injections for medical assistants I meant vaccines. At my office, any other meds that need to be dispensed are done by the MD.

I gave insulin injections as a CNA because I work for a private facility so state doesn't mandate what we can and can not do.
