Hi! I am a new graduate and just accepted my first RN job as a cardiology clinic RN. I have been researching my career advancement opportunities (I LOVE cardiology and can’t wait to explore my options).
That being said, I stumbled upon the “Cardiac Vascular Nursing Certification.” It stated that two years of experience is needed before I can take the exam and get certified - does that include clinic nursing or is it exclusive to CCU, cath lab, acute care patients? Thanks so much!

My understanding is that it includes clinic nursing. I work in outpatient cardiology and my manager is encouraging me to take the exam. Ps congrats on your new adventure!!

I think it applies. I just moved to cath lab but I plan on taking it. According to the list my hospital has its approved for cath lab and my prior experience is all stepdown.
