Just wondering if anyone's heard anything re: interviews? When I last spoke with admissions at the start of January they said they were only just starting to go through applications.

We will find out when they send us more information before the tests I guess!

I also got the email about Casper and I have 2 A's and 2 high B's. A friend of mine called admissions, around 600 applied, there's 150 spots and the top half of applicants got the letter.

Hey guys I emailed Deb asking for a little more information! Just over 600 people applied! And the top 300 or top half got invited to do the CASPer test. She mentioned a lot of people that we're coming right out of high school this year applied not knowing they no longer accept anyone right out of high school so that is good news for all of us! They will accept roughly 150 students and 40-50 will go on a waitlist seeing as some students accepted may have been accepted to other schools and do not take their seat in the program. Would anyone be into a Facebook group called Camosun nursing hopefuls?

When I was thinking of going into midwifery they had one and it was super helpful to have like minded ppl all in one place

I would assume CASPer replaces interviews, since interviews used to be "Stage 2" and now it says CASPer is "Stage 2" :)

It did replace interviews! Interviews they were trying to find a way to learn what type of person you are and the Casper test does that with an unbiased opinion as a different person marks each answer so we all get a fair shot! (That was one mean marker won't ruin your chances)
