Calls and Weekends

What jobs or specialties as an NP don't need to do calls or weekends? Here at the VA I see some NPs who work M-F with bankers' hours that do non-clinical jobs such as education.

The ones that say no calls or weekends in the contract. It varies quite a bit. More likely to not have call in outpatient specialties

I work in a large nephrology practice - we are on call M-F 0600-1700, no weekends. Our call is essentially only for OUR patients which makes it easier.

Depends on the job. I'm in critical care which usually includes weekends and nights, but we have inhouse docs currently so I work Mon-Fri 3 x 12s
