Calling any Watts School of Nursing Students!!!

Hi all,

I have posted a few times about my worries on getting into a nursing program and just wanted to share that I got accepted to Watts School of Nursing in Durham. I am so excited and I was wondering if any Watts students (or from other programs) had any advice on how they have gone about financing their education. I never had to deal with financial aid when I got my undergrad a few years ago and Watts is pretty pricey, (about $30,000). I plan to do the tuition reimbursement program with Duke when I graduate but I'm worried about what to do right now. Any advice on financial aid or private loan experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!:heartbeat

Almost done with application packet... Ugh... Hours, go by slower please!!

Don't be nervous...I don't think any of us completed the whole reading section. I got through 2 out of 3 reading sections and received a 92. So as long as you completed at least 1 or 2...you should be fine. :o)

Yay, application, essay and references are in the mail. Wow, that ensure drink did wonders!! Lol ugh... Now the waiting begins!!

hey all. i am relatively new to this board but i just wanted to let all those in the june class that i will be joining you! i just got the letter today. i am excited, scared, happy, overwhelmed, etc.

here's how the timing went...

novemeber 10th (i think)- took the test

december 24th- got the results and go-ahead to send in the app.

february 15th (or so)- application completed. sent in criminal bkgd check form

march 3- acceptance!

it was a nerveracking experience but worth it!
