Hi all,
I have posted a few times about my worries on getting into a nursing program and just wanted to share that I got accepted to Watts School of Nursing in Durham. I am so excited and I was wondering if any Watts students (or from other programs) had any advice on how they have gone about financing their education. I never had to deal with financial aid when I got my undergrad a few years ago and Watts is pretty pricey, (about $30,000). I plan to do the tuition reimbursement program with Duke when I graduate but I'm worried about what to do right now. Any advice on financial aid or private loan experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!:heartbeat
Hi everyone, I'm new to this site. I'm testing in February so excited & nervous!! Anyone else testing in February?
I just got my results back today for Jan test. I passed academic aptitude no problem:up: But I flopped on the reading comp. I love to read. It just wasn't what I was expecting. I hope to try again in Feb.

I had an even lower college GPA and was accepted. I could not get into those schools either!!
Anyways, some info. about the school.
The pre-admissions test to get into Watts is kind of stressful. You have to answer as many questions as possible and the time is set so that you can not answer them all. I think there are posts on here about it.
The bummer though, no matter what credits you get from your undergrad, you still have to take 18 hours at Mount Olive College. Most are online and a few are at Watts campus in Durham. So, I ended up taking a lot of psychology classes.
I think Durham Tech and Wake Tech are on wait-lists while Watts is not.
Personally, I would try to get into Watts as it has a really good reputation in the area.
Not sure how much you have researched stuff, so sorry if this is all old news. Good luck!
