calling for recent LSU CRNAs

I just wonder how soon LSU will make a decision of acceptance after the interview. I will go up there next week. I read some post that some applicant might get offered a spot at the interview. I just wish I have some time I can think about it if that's the case (although I am not a stellar candidate).

The reason is, I have 4 other schools I've applied after LSU that I will not hear whether I will be granted for interview any time soon as their deadline is much later than LSU. LSU is not my primary interest for financial reasons, but I decided to get interviewed in case I don't get one from any other.

I interviewed at LSU and UTHSC in Memphis. I was accepted on the spot during the LSU interview. I turned them down for UTHSC, as it was my first choice. Usually, programs give you anywhere from a week to a month to decide to attend the program. If the program deadlines are spaced far apart, there is really no way around it. The only way to see if you get accepted at another program is to pay the deposit that LSU requires if accepted. If you choose a different program, you will loose that deposit.

Thanks Garrett 1987. I have applied 4 other schools besides LSU and their deadline is somewhere about 1 month later than LSU. This is my very first round on applying for the CRNA program, and I am learning the lesson that there is some school like LSU whose turnaround is very quick. I better to have application deadlines close to one another. We'll see how it goes. Did you turn down LSU right away or waited a little? Thanks again for your advice!

I accepted a spot at the first school that I was accepted to. I lost my $1,000 deposit because I was accepted to my first choice later on. Of course in the interview, I told the school that I turned down that they were my first choice. Had to say or do whatever it took to get in! Good luck!

lady_stic, Thanks for your sharing. I agree. Afraid to do the same thing as timing of each school seems different. LSU is not my primary for financial reasons but did apply as back-up. Great to hear you got offer from more than 1 school!!
