Hello everyone it seems like Truman has many helpful threads and Daley has none. I thought I would create this one so everyone who received acceptance for Fall 2012 can communicate with one another. Post here anything that you've heard in regards to Daley's Nursing Program. For example I'm wondering where clinicals will be, if you know plz share. BTW Congratulations to everyone!!!

Hi guys,
When I turned in my health requirements packet, Mrs. Fitzsimmons asked me if I was an evening or day student. I told her evening....here's the thing. I specifically asked her if the lottery registration had anything to do with us being in either the day or the evening cohort and she said no. She told me that our lottery number determines when we come to register for classes on August 9th, but she did say that there would be enough slots for whomever wanted day or evening classes. She also wrote evening student across my health packet.
She also mentioned that her director told her at the last minute to start asking students if they wanted day or evening classes, when they came in to turn in health requirements. So it's a strong possibility that she asked only the last few students that turned in their health requirements which cohort they wanted.
If you guys are worried I would email her.
I hope this helps!

Update:
I e-mailed the clinical coordinator at Daley today (Mrs. Andrea Fitzsimmons). She states that things have been cleared up with Mercyworks and Certified Background as far as what specific drugs to now test for. The drug TCA-tricyclic antidepressants are no longer required but everything else is including: THC, Cocaine, Opiates, PCP, Amphetamines & Methamphetamines, Benzodiazepines, Barbiturates, Methaqualone, Propoxyphene & Methadone. She was really nice! I encourage you to e-mail or call her if you have questions about this whole process, because I was confused as heck. Her e-mail is [email protected].
Jeskarwr,
I got all of my titers and urine screen through my PCP, it was covered by my insurance. So I'm not sure how much it would cost me out of pocket. I'm sure it would be in the hundreds of dollars for all of the blood work alone.
