at my nurse delegation class for my NAR the rn there teaching the class said that she has a friend that is a flight nurse and after class i could get the number to talk to her friend. well after class i talked to the rn and she gave me her personal number and told me to call her and she will let me know if its ok to talk to her flight nurse friend. well over the memorial day weekend i didnt call because you know its the weekend. well today is tuesday and should i call? i dont wanna be a pest or annoying wanna be nurse.

was she just being nice and hope i didnt ask or is this a good opportunity? i see it as a good opportunity to ask her/him questions. i would love to find a nurse to mentor me.

If she gave you her number and said that it was okay to call, I don't see any reason why you can't.

Perhaps if you're not able to advocate for your own professional advancement when somebody gives you a resource, you're not ready to be a nurse. Then again, I have no idea what an NAR is. Is that a nursing program?

Of course, call. ;)

Dial them digits!!! If I was in that situation and didn't want to help then I wouldn't have given you the number. I wouldn't put it off much longer but I think this week would still be okay.
