the call center was open 24 hours a day/7 days a week. we were one of 5 centers across the country. this was a big company. if i tell you the name, you will recognize it. a call coming in on the call wheel could be answered by the first available nurse in any one of the 5 centers. we worked 12-hour shifts. i do not know what the dress code was at the other sites. most everyone wore pants and a blouse. i'm trying to think back if anyone wore jeans. i think maybe they did. we were an office of rns in a huge room of cubicles with computers, reference books and phones. never had any visitors. just us and the supervisors.
I work for a nursing call center. If you do, what are your dress codes at your facility? Thanks
I work for a major insurance company as a RN Health Coach in a call center. We are required to wear business casual during the week, and on weekends and holidays we are allowed to "dress down" to nice jeans, and sneakers. Oh, we can dress down on the Friday after pay day also. In the summer they do relax the code somewhat and allow dress down every Friday.
I now however work from home for the same position on midnights and PJ's and fuzzy slippers are now my dress code
