How long does it normally take to know results in California? Do we get something in the mail an email or check the BON website......anxiously waiting!!!!!!!

They give the time frame on the website, I believe it is now stated to be three to four weeks. Good luck.

If you have a SSN then you can see your name on website anything from 3 days to 4 weeks. If you have no SSN then you will not see your name on website and will have to wait for snail mail

I sat my test in CA and received my results via snail mail 2.5 weeks later.. it's an anxious wait, good luck!

I'm on the same boat as you! Anxiously waiting. I thought the CA BRN website updates 2 days minimum after taking the exam but I guess it's 3 days like Silverdragon02 states, which kind of relieves me somewhat. Have you checked the BRN site today? I guess I checked around the time they were updating and it went from "Last updated: JUL-12-2010" to "Last updated: JUL-13-2010," but it's the early morning of July 14!!!! lol

For myself and my classmates, our results posted between 5 and 14 days.

No SSN needed, just the last name.

Hi,

What are the steps to take to check your name in the California Board web?

Hi,

What are the steps to take to check your name in the California Board web?

If RN then you go to the BRN website and check verification, will only work if you have a SSN as CA will not issue a license without a SSN so therefore will not post a license on the website

Hi,

Go to (*this link*) at the Department of Consumer Affairs and type in your name. If you've passed the NCLEX - and met all of the other licensing requirements - your name will appear. If not, it won't.

California doesn't tell you if you've passed or not on their website, only whether you've been issued a license or not. I don't know if they send a formal notification to people who failed.

how are we notified if we fail then? I think we do get something in the mail.
