CSUSM 2023 ABSN Program

I submitted my application last month and have received my evaluation. I have a total of 43 points. I am curious as to when we will receive our acceptance letters. I'm so eager to hear back!

This thread is for everyone applying for the CSUSM ABSN program, Fall 2023. I hadn't seen one, so I thought I'd make one! Feel free to share your stats, ask questions, exchange information, and discuss your experience. Best of luck to everyone!

Congratulations to everyone who got in! I was also admitted with 50 points.

These were my stats:

Pre-nursing core GPA: 3.91

Last 60 units GPA: 3.96

TEAS score: 98.7

However, I will be declining to accept an offer at another CSU ABSN program, so if you haven't heard back, I hope this makes you feel more at ease! Good luck everybody (:

Great stats. Out of curiosity, what other programs were you accepted into? I only applied to 2 ABSN programs this and CSUN.

Hey guys, I'm see it at the bottom as well as "admitted" and just accepted. Make sure you go to the website:

https://my.CSUSM.edu/

and click on "Student Center". At the bottom you'll see the status (thanks hbdope).

Points: 49

TEAS: 93.3% (84.6% R, 100% M, 93.2% S, 97% E&L)

Pre-req GPA: 3.96

(for future cohorts yes they do look at the entire transcript and will automatically take any courses with the highest grade in that category as long as it's CSU transferable, for my case ochem was used in place for the general chem class)

Last 60 units: 3.97

*Make sure you pay for enrollment deposit ($150) under the category "Extended Learning (EL) Enrollment Deposit - Fall" within 2 weeks since I heard they will move onto the next person if they don't hear from you.

*I just talked to the counselor a few minutes ago and she said they will contact everyone that accepted and paid the deposit sometime at the end of May for our background check. Until then nothing else needs to be done.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to setup a facebook group page just like previous cohorts? I just don't know how to do it, but it would be great if something like that happened sometime before the Fall semester starts. I'm going to get a head start on learning/reviewing some stuff before classes begin. Again congrats to everyone so far and see you in the fall.

Hi!! I was also admitted today with 43 points!

Last 60 GPA: 4.0

Pre-Nursing GPA: 3.93

TEAS: 84.6%

Congratulations to everyone and can't wait to meet you all in the Fall! Aspiringchartingcat, where did you find the enrollment deposit ($150) under the category "Extended Learning (EL) Enrollment Deposit - Fall" ? I assume its in your student portal, but where? I am having a hard time finding it and I have accepted. Also, do you have the contact information for the counselor you have been keeping in touch with? Thanks and congratulations!

On my portal, I see "Conditionally admitted" but I already sent in the transcript with my bachelor degree posted. I don't have any courses on my evaluation worksheet in-progress so any idea what this might mean?

In your Student center there is a section all the way at the bottom that says My Applications. The section Status should say admitted (from completed application), you click the blue hyperlink (admitted) which takes you to a different page where you can choose to pay for your enrollment deposit.

You should be able to click the blue hyperlink under Status. Mine says submitted intent to enroll and when I click it it says conditionally admitted. I believe we are all probably conditionally admitted at the moment pending background check etc.

Hi! So I pressed admitted and accepted. The blue hyperlink under Status now says Submitted Intent to Enroll. I wasn't taken to another page to pay for my enrollment deposit after I clicked it. Is there somewhere you can see on your student portal that says "Extended Learning (EL) Enrollment Deposit - Fall"?

Has anyone made a FB group yet? I would but I have no idea how to! Haha. Can't wait to meet you all! Another nice thing for us to do once the semester starts or soon before would be to make a discord for us to all communicate in! ?

The link might not have shown up if you have an ad blocker. The only thing I can think of is under account summary and make payment. You might be able to access through that.

Okay! It says I have $0.00 due so I'm not sure whats happening. I'll try to email the Extended Learning program or the counselor. Do you by any chance have the email of the counselor we are supposed to contact?

You have to click on the option of "Accept or Decline" and once you do that another tab should open up that will allow you to pay. If that doesn't pop up you should be able to click on the pay option on that same screen after you clicked on student portal that should allow you to pay (but that too also leads to another pop up, so you might have some blocker on your browser. Just use another browser in that case like internet explore or something).

I've been in contact with Krysti Langeloh all this time since the beginning of April to see the status of application and she's been very helpful.
