CSUSM 2023 ABSN Program

I submitted my application last month and have received my evaluation. I have a total of 43 points. I am curious as to when we will receive our acceptance letters. I'm so eager to hear back!

This thread is for everyone applying for the CSUSM ABSN program, Fall 2023. I hadn't seen one, so I thought I'd make one! Feel free to share your stats, ask questions, exchange information, and discuss your experience. Best of luck to everyone!

Aww I probably didn't get in which I kind of expected but I am super happy for you all! Congrats!

Why do you say that ? What are your stats if you don't mind me asking ?

I'm probably just preparing myself for it since I'm below the admitted average points with 29 points.

Anyone with the point average get in? Or is it just points in the 40+ range? I have the average of 36, and I know more admissions come out later, but just wondering specifically for today's admission roll out.

I'm rooting for you. The range was 31-49 last cohort so maybe you can squeak by. If you want a better TEAS score I recommend the ATI study guide. It increased my TEAS score pretty significantly even though I only completed half of it.

Thank you so much for the encouragement. My stats are all over the place ?  I have As/Bs in prereqs and 92% on TEAS. My last 60 units was a very low GPA mixed with As I got later (though clearly not enough of them). I also kept getting home tired and didn't email them to switch out one B grade class for another qualifying A grade class which would have put me at 31. I will do it today just in case. ?

I also got admitted and will be attending ?

Here are my stats:

39 points

  • Pre-core GPA: 3.90
  • Last 60 GPA: 3.53
  • TEAS: 86.7
  • A's on all science courses
  • BRN supporting courses are met

Congrats to everyone who got admitted! Good luck to those still waiting to hear back and don't lose hope!

Does anyone know if we received an official acceptance email? I just see it on my portal but never got an email

Counselor said there's a delay between the website and the email that will be sent to your personal email address. She doesn't know when it will be sent out, but guessed it was about 1-2 weeks from now.

They roll out admissions in batches starting from the top (just like in previous cohorts), so after about 2 weeks those that do not pay for the intent to enroll are removed and they go down the list. Just give it a few more weeks.

Oh my god ignorance really is bliss ? I have not been offered admission yet and I have 37 points. Seeing y'all get your acceptances today is making me nervous!

It looks like I got my acceptance today also! I'm planning on accepting, so I will see all of you lovely people in the Fall! ?

Prereq GPA: 4.0
Last 60: 3.89
TEAS: 84.7%

Congratulations to everyone who got in!?? I was admitted as well! And I hope everyone else is accepted during the next admission batch.? Where is everyone located? Anyone commuting from Orange County?
