California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) ABSN Summer 2024

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi there!

I wanted to start a forum for those of us applying to CSULA's ABSN Summer 2024 program. I hope we can help answer questions, offer stats, and support each other during this application cycle. All the best to everyone!

In the eligibility e-mail they will tell you to send electronic transcripts to a Admissions link, then on the student portal via GET you will see your application status. Mine is still showing up as incomplete though ?

Assuming that it's from the "CSULA Application - Met Eligibility Requirements and Applying to the University" email, I don't see any admission link nor have I seen anything about the student portals in the emails : ( Thanks for the response, I might have to contact them

I was just offered an interview for this Friday.

OMG yay! What are your stats if you don't mind me asking??

OMG congrats!!

I'm starting to get a little anxious. I wonder if they're sending them out everyday of the week or just on specific days.

Thank you. I'm sure they're still planning to invite more people to interview. My stats are 3.55 GPA in mechanical engineering. 4.0 in prerequisites. A ton of work experience in engineering, but no medical. Some volunteering in an ER. I'm currently in a CNA program but that was too late to include in my application. TEAS was 99th percentile. I think I'm definitely a non-traditional applicant.

Also waiting for an interview. Got the email with the link asking to submit again.

Is it normal to get an email account with csula? As well as the CSULA student center has my admission application as incomplete. IDK if others are experiencing something similar.

Yes we all get assigned a CSULA email after activating the GET account. I think everyone is listed as incomplete. If you look at last year's thread, that seems to be a common theme.

Sorry, I must have missed it, but when were we asked to activate the GET account? None of the CSULA emails I have received mention GET? Is it after submitting the CSU application that you received an email to activate the GET account?

Links and info are provided a couple of days after submitting the application a second time,  first time directly through calstate apply. There are two emails,  one with an ID# and one with a pin.

Oh okay! I just submitted yesterday, so I should just expect to receive an email in the  next few days regarding how to activate the GET account and other info?

That would be my guess. The window between emails were each 2-3 days apart.
