What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing their acceptance, denial, or waitlist status for admission to the CSUF nursing program. Some users have received official acceptance letters, while others are still waiting for updates on their application status. There is also a discussion on how to check application status on the CSUF portal and sharing experiences of being accepted off the waitlist.

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to create this forum because I haven't seen one for this cycle. I figured it would be a good way to connect with others who are going through the application process, are scared, nervous, excited, or lost. (or maybe all of the above) Also just a great way to stay updated with the application cycle. The application closes on Nov 1st! ?

Would love if anyone wanted to introduce themselves, and why they decided to apply to CSUF ABSN

I will start!

I am in my last semester of college! WOO WOO! Graduating with my bachelors in Kinesiology, at CSUF. I chose CSUF because besides the obvious fact that I am already going attending this school, I would love to stay local! PLUS I am applying to as many schools as I can. (Just hoping I get into one ;-;)

I just submitted my a few days ago (I know late) but I unfortunately had a lot of unexpected events happens in the past two month that caused a huge delay ? so I am hoping it doesn't affect my application too much.

Good luck everyone, I wish we could all just get accepted.

I was placed on the waitlist, but for the UDT BSN pathway (there isn't a forum for my pathway.) I was shocked to even be put on a waitlist since it says on both ABSN and UDT FAQs website said that they don't do waitlists...

Hopefully they send out another wave of acceptances

For future applicants-

Wanted to share my statistics so you don't get discouraged.

Cumulative GPA- 3.64

Prerequisite GPA- about 3.5 (I had B's in all of my science Prereqs)

I had over 200hrs of volunteer experience (no license).

I am proficient in another language, not fluent.

I have residency.

I completed all additional coursework

I was definitely on the lower end in terms of points. I think what really helped more than anything was my interview and essay. In my acceptance email they said they were impressed with my interview. I truly didn't think I even had a chance of being accepted, and applied to this school just to see "what if" because I knew I didn't have all A's. Don't give up, you got this.

I think mine is similar and I think I have a good essay, but I feel as if I bombed my interview ;( I expected all of the questions yet I was still very nervous and didn't speak very fluidly 😭🙏🏻

I got a response today ! With an conditional admission pending background check 🥹!  I have been checking my gmail 😅 every day

I also had similar results but felt like I didn't have enough time to respond during the interview 😞 hopefully I get an email tomorrow

Hi, did everyone receive the acceptance and waitlist email at the same time or is it still being sent out?

Dang I felt the same way about my interview 😞

Hi everyone!!

Wishing everyone on the waitlist good luck and for all those that got in congrats!! I got my conditional acceptance email yesterday morning and it still feels unreal!! I'm still waiting to hear back from Northridge and CSUSM but for now I'm going to complete the background check for CSUF and wait to see!

I'm from NorCal so I'm looking at apartments/houses for rent near the campus at the moment, anyone else looking for roommates?

I'm glad I finally found this forum!! I just heard back that I'm accepted into CSUF and I'm trying to decide between Northridge, CSUF and CSUSM (assuming/manifesting that I'm getting into all of them so I get to choose LOL) but I would love to know what you think about the Fullerton campus, living area, etc?? I'm moving from Northern California so it's definitely going to be a big change and I want to find somewhere I'll enjoy living for the next two years!

For the ones that didn't hear back yet, I guess they do rolling admissions? Is it possible seats fill up before they look at every candidate/interview or does everyone get a fair shot because I did my interview on the very last day if that matters at all

I hope so. I did my interview two days before the due date and still have not heard anything back. I have been constantly checking my email and portal but my portal still says that an admission decision is pending.
