What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing their acceptance, denial, or waitlist status for admission to the CSUF nursing program. Some users have received official acceptance letters, while others are still waiting for updates on their application status. There is also a discussion on how to check application status on the CSUF portal and sharing experiences of being accepted off the waitlist.

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to create this forum because I haven't seen one for this cycle. I figured it would be a good way to connect with others who are going through the application process, are scared, nervous, excited, or lost. (or maybe all of the above) Also just a great way to stay updated with the application cycle. The application closes on Nov 1st! ?

Would love if anyone wanted to introduce themselves, and why they decided to apply to CSUF ABSN

I will start!

I am in my last semester of college! WOO WOO! Graduating with my bachelors in Kinesiology, at CSUF. I chose CSUF because besides the obvious fact that I am already going attending this school, I would love to stay local! PLUS I am applying to as many schools as I can. (Just hoping I get into one ;-;)

I just submitted my a few days ago (I know late) but I unfortunately had a lot of unexpected events happens in the past two month that caused a huge delay ? so I am hoping it doesn't affect my application too much.

Good luck everyone, I wish we could all just get accepted.

Hi All, I have a silly question... how do you check your application status in the CSUF portal? Or is it through the Cal State Apply portal? I checked both portals and I could not find anything regarding the status of my application. Only in the Cal State Apply portal I just see that my application was submitted, but I know I am on the waitlist from the email that was sent to me.

Go to your student portal on the cal state Fullerton website then select admissions and you will see there if you have been admitted to the program, waitlisted or denied.

Thank you for your help! Yea.. I am at my.fullerton.edu/portal/Dashboard/ and I could not find any tabs that says Admissions. I even tried searching it in the portal and nothing. I am going to try and attach an image to show you what I see. But I am fairly new to allnurses.com so hopefully this works.

Hi everyone!

I'm currently part of CSUFs ABSN program (c/o 2025 baby!) and just wanted to say WELCOME to those who got in this cycle, and to NOT GIVE UP for those who didn't.

Other than that, can't wait to meet you all!

For future applicants-

Wanted to share my statistics so you don't get discouraged.

Cumulative GPA- 3.64

Prerequisite GPA- about 3.5 (I had B's in all of my science Prereqs)

I had over 200hrs of volunteer experience (no license).

I am proficient in another language, not fluent.

I have residency.

I completed all additional coursework

I was definitely on the lower end in terms of points. I think what really helped more than anything was my interview and essay. In my acceptance email they said they were impressed with my interview. I truly didn't think I even had a chance of being accepted, and applied to this school just to see "what if" because I knew I didn't have all A's. Don't give up, you got this.

hi! thanks for sharing your stats and congratulations on starting nursing school!! I'm applying this cycle, and I was wondering if the essay was part of your initial application due 11/30? I'm not seeing an essay requirement in Cal State Apply or the CSUF ABSN page (https://nursing.fullerton.edu/programs/acceleratedbsn/appprocess.html), but thought it was strange that there would be no essay (like statement of purpose) required. I'm not sure if I'm completely overlooking this and came across your post.

I think they removed it! I didn't see one either and if it was required it wouldn't have let us submit the app 🙂
