Just wondering how much of what you make goes to the tax man.
Please list how many deductions you have.

All depends on your deductions. Do you own a home? Do you have dependents? Do you have write offs such as schooling? Also, and this is big--what state do you live in. Obviously, some states have much higher state income taxes than others. Also what do you contribute to a 401k, that comes right off the top. Lots of factors. Everyone's take home will be different!!

I'm single with no kids and about 30% of my pay gets taken for federal tax, CA state tax, medicare, sdi and social security.
I'm aware of this. I'm many interested in the single person with no deductions and the married with serveral children. I rather have more children and spend my money on them then give it to the tax man.

Again, as we keep stating, differences are going to vary greatly between nurses.
And it will cost you much more to care for a child then the deduction that you get for them each year.
Figure on 1/3 for taxes, if you have no deductions.
And this is not the place for people to post their personal information, the world wide web is not as anonymous as you think.
