Hello,

I was just quoted BSN RN pay 36.24 an hr for the VA hospital in San Diego. 1.5 yr experience. Is this a good quote? :) Thanks,

Jel

Sounds like a good quote to me, but maybe you can get a little more? I know for sure that new grads get $30-32/hour in San Diego Hospitals.

^^^ I was thinking the same thind too. The pay is decent and considering RN jobs are hard to get in socal right now I'd take it. I knowt he work load at the VA is much heavier vs other local hospitals.

Thanks! It would be for a outpatient clinic. I don't think they can give me more because they have stages to the pay depending on how much experience. I work for the VA in arizona now. The cost of living is high here as well with smaller pay. After only a yr of working on a telemetry floor my back is awful. An outpatient clinic sounds Like a lot less strenuous work. I hope:)

The pay actually sounds pretty good for San Diego. I wouldn't call it low. Especially for outpatient. New grads start around 30ish/hr, but with only a year 1/2 experience and it outpatient thats a good quote.
