Thanks superfryk! I have seen many of your posts from last year and keep thinking I am traveling your same path! How are you liking CSULA?

its been great thus far. its a TON of work but I'm ever grateful to be here. this quarter (#3) I am finally starting to feel like a nurse and its a pretty wonderful feeling :)

So glad to hear it! I am excited and nervous all in one. Of course I need to get through all the apps and stuff first LOL. Do you have a sense of stats that CSULA is looking for? I just hope I can get to the interview stage!

So glad this forum is going on so we can keep each other updated. I haven't heard anything yet on applying to the university. So nervous!

Possible interviews as soon as two weeks? That would be crazy! I'm so happy to hear you've had such a good experience though, superfryk!

Just making sure--no one has heard about applying to the university? Sorry to keep asking, I'm just getting paranoid maybe I didn't qualify or something!! Thanks!!

Nothing here either. Isn't this fun?

Ugh I know I'm going crazy!

I'm sure we'll here something soon! She is always so prompt and nice when talking to her! Waaaay different than directors of other schools I'm applying for.

Hi all! I was also surprised to see that this thread did not exist earlier, but here we are at last :) I haven't received any updates either. Just wanted to ask if you guys know how many students she accepts? When I went to the info session late summer she said 20-25, but I hear that in the later info sessions she said 35-45, is this correct? Also, do you guys know how much the program will cost? I heard the first year is expensive because it is through extension. Thank you!

Here is what I know....the application info said 30 to 40 students, cost per unit is $425 for the first full year (4 quarter I believe). There are 76 units in the RN portion, so tuition would be $32,300. This is pretty inline with most similar state school programs I know of (WesternU is $50K+). You get awarded a BSN at this point too - which is unique to this program.

That last couple years have received first round interviews on Feb 18th, so hopefully we'll hear something soon about applying to university? Getting nervous!

So funny, I went through the threads last night to check the dates of past years and noticed it was the 18th too. My sense is if we get invited to interview, that is when they will let us know to apply to the university. Kind of cool of them - why pay the money to apply if you are not even going to be considered.
