Hello all,

I'm applying to APU's NP program this January and am sooo excited and nervous! I'm really trying to get accepted to start in Fall 2011 as I don't want to wait until spring 2012. This is my first choice (I've already applied to another school here) and I've GOT to get in! Is anybody out there waiting for decisions or has advice for the application process? I would've applied sooner, but they just implemented a rule where you have to have 12 completed credits for science, so I had to wait until grades got posted.

WOOHOO! CAN'T WAIT TO START!

hey SD APU students! I just finished the ELM program and want to see my scrubs. They are the school required dove uniforms I have two sets, tops are a size small as a size small and the pants are a medium. They are still in good condition and I will give them to you for much cheaper than if you were to purchase them they DOVE. Let me know if you are interested!

I'm interested!

I'm interested!

Great! Private message me. I can meet you anytime!

@kurlaub: actually, im probably going to need a size small pant because im really short..sorry! if you have any classmates that are tiny, id like to buy it.

also, would you recommend getting the book set or buying them individually off of old students/amazon? and does older editions make a huge difference? thanks!

For those at the San Diego campus, any suggestions on areas to check out for housing?

Mission Valley where the school is located is a decent area and is kinda in the middle rent-wise. I am moving to Ocean Beach, it's like 10 minutes from campus. I really like that area because its near the beach, campus, and cheap for being so close to the beach. But it depends if you want something more affordable. North Park is not far from campus, and it's pretty cheap. So is clairemont. Hope that helps :)

Hi everyone! I stumbled accross this thread online. I am barely going to start on my pre-reqs, since I just received my BA in December. I am applying to the ELM program on the main campus for APU. I was just wondering if anyone had any insight on how to make myself more appealing. For example, did you have a lot of volunteer hours, really high Gpa? Any advice would be appreciated! I really want to get into this program, but so far am lost. Thanks!

Hello everyone.... don't waste your money on the book bundle.... don't use half the books or at least don't really need them. good luck!!

Voulnteer, show pt care, your Gpa doesn't have to be too high the lowest i've heard in my cohort is a 3.0. good luck.

thanks cdevirian! that was very useful information!

Hi guys,

I applied for the ELMD IE summer 2013 program. I have an interview with them July 31st, I was wondering if you guys have any thoughts regarding the interview? What's the next step after the interview? Do they notify you by email or letter if you're accepted and how long does it take until they notify you? Thanks..

I actually disagree with a previous poster about not buying the book bundle. I recommend you buy the bundle for the first semester because they give you books that you will be using the rest of the program. Then after the following semesters you should just buy books off of amazon and not do the bundle.

Good areas to live in: pacific beach, north park, south park, mission valley, bankers hill, ocean beach...

With acceptance- they notify you through email, phone call and a letter. You will most likely get the email or phone call first.

I wouldnt recommend buying the lab coat unless you are someone that gets cold very easily. No one really wears them because it makes you look like a doctor or pharmacist while you are in the hospital. One classmate wears it and that is because she is always cold.
